The services, provided by the Institute, encompass all the phases of the policy cycle – i.e., from policy formulation, to decision-making, implementation, then monitoring and finally evaluation. We conduct applied research (policy analysis, studies, evaluations) and provide assistance to institutional development and institutional capacities strengthening (from advice to all legal documents, which are necessary to implement change) as well as other related services, such as training, facilitation and publicity.
The Institute is distinguished from other organisations, offering similar services, by its in-depth understanding of the public sector. The research of the Institute is based on thorough empirical analysis and leads to practical recommendations. In our work, we encourage active involvement of interested groups, perform an in-depth analysis of the client’s internal processes and environment, offer forms of services and their combinations which are the most appropriate in relation to the client’s needs.
The services, provided by the Institute, can be divided into the following major areas:
Public policy analysis and research, serving to identify public policy issues and challenges, to determine their causes and to suggest their possible solutions.
Institutional strengthening and organisational development – it comprises improvement of public policy planning, implementation and publicity by optimising the strategies and processes of public institutions.
Evaluation – analysis of the value of public policy, essentially aimed to improve public policies and to better account for them.
